Type of a scam Phishing
They called claiming to be "Your credit card company" and asking you urgently to sign up for a lower interest rate. Your actual credit card company would know you by name and would state its company name. This is clearly phishing to try to get you to "confirm" your account with them but actually they are just stealing your credit card information.
