Type of a scam Yellow Pages/Directories
I have been contacted several times by a person claiming to be from Yellow Pages Directories asking for the second year of payment of over $800 for a two year online listing of my business
The credit card number he gives me as making the first payment does not match any of my current or past card numbers and I have no record of the payment.
The web site given for the listing is Yellowpages.com where he says they have posted a listing. The people at yellow pages.com have no account for me and suggested it was probably a scam.
The caller, when I said I would not pay , both today and on a call earlier in the month, said that my account will be turned over to their legal department.
The phone number is in Chicago, but he insists the company is in New York
