Type of a scam Tech Support

I called what I thought was Yahoo tech support for my husband about his phone….after talking to a guy he told me that I needed to talk to someone else who could help me further….then when this guy got on the phone he started checking everything and told me I had 7 hackers and 73 firewall files that were missing as well……after he finished with all that he said he could fix my computer but he started telling me what all he needed to do and then he told me it would cost $299 to fix everything and I told him I didn’t have that kind of money and he kept asking me well what can you afford??? I kept telling him no and he kept trying to push and finally he got the point….well when I started to restart my computer it was taking longer due to updates so he said he would call me back and when my computer finished it came up to a blank screen with a lock on it for me to put in a password….well when he called back he kept telling me that I had to pay him to have it fixed and I told him I didn’t have it…then he said there’s nothing he can do…I told him if I had the money you could fix it that’s nothing but ripping people off…I told him he was nothing but a thief…they make you think they are gonna help you then they screw up your computer and expect you too pay them a fortune to fix it…I don’t know what this world is coming to…
