Type of a scam Tech Support

Call to my home (unlisted) phone number by gentleman with Indian accent.

Tells me my computer has been reporting to them that it has problems.

Asked me to turn on computer and run "netstat" command in terminal.

This produces a number of local and foreign computer port addresses to which computer has / was connected.

Claims this means hackers are already accessing my computer.

Wants me to give him permission to remotely administer / access my computer to install a small piece of software that will allow their engineers to fix the issues.

I said how do I know they are not the hackers ? He says if he was, then he wouldn’t have called. I said he called because he wants me to give him access to my computer, so I agree, he can’t be a very good hacker.

The software he would download involves some sort of pay service "much like an antivirus" he says.

Obviously I said forget it, which is when he directs me to the website listed above which I haven’t opened.

I sit behind a firewall and VPN. There’s no way without my help he could get into my computer.
