Type of a scam Online Purchase

Through Facebook, this company is using "Shark Tank" investors to lure customers to try their cosmetic products on a trial basis. I personally got caught up in this. Their "Terms & Conditions" state that you simply pay a Shipping & Handling Fee of $5.95 in order to receive the product. If you (buyer) Fails to cancel within 30 days, your credit card will be charged $89.95 each month going forward. Although I only ordered the LaLeur product for the trial, they also sent me a product called, Kalderma and charged me an additional $5.95 Shipping and Handling Fee.

I purchased the product on 2/8/2017 and tried to cancel the order (due to an allergic reaction to the product) on 2/15/2017. The phone number to cancel listed in the Terms & Conditions was not a valid phone number. When I contacted the company through this number, 1-888-907-6422, Diana stated they do not sell these products.

I then called, (888)300-5220, and reached Aretha at what I believe to be the LaLeur company. I explained the reason for my cancellation of products, she stated that I would be charged an additional $27.00 and some odd cents. I asked if she was able to cancel both products – LaLeur and Kalderma and she stated yes. However, they only sent me an e-mail confirmation for one order number.

Based on the above, I’ve cancelled and notified my credit card company.
