Total money lost $11,808

Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

On December 6, 2019 my wife and I had an offer to sell our timeshare to Oceanside Property Group office in Playa del Carmen Mexico.

They gave us an advanced payment of $11,808.00 which was put towards purchase of membership to Worldwide Holiday Stores and we paid $12,191.55 which gave us equity of $29,900 which we could buy back on December 6, 2020. Both companies are partners in this scam.

On May 14, 2020 we were informed that Oceanside had a seller for our property but that they needed a wire transfer to pay for Mexican Taxes

WE send a wire transfer for $7084.000 but thankfully RCB bank in Courtenay BC put a stop to payment as they considered it FRAUD.

Since then we have received several emails and phone calls from both Oceanside Property Group and Worldwide Holiday Stores telling us that we owe them the advanced payment of $11,808.00 which was paid to Worldwide Holiday Store and they will be taking legal action to collect that amount from us. I am attaching a detailed account which will explain how Oceanside Property Group is connected with Worldwide Holiday Store in this fraud.
