Type of a scam Employment

I was contacted with a job offer. (In which I have been currently looking for employment in numerous websites). The job was a Accounts Receivable Rep, $60,000 yearly plus commissions. They send out a very official looking job application and work contract with a story about why they are contracting out the job. I then emailed them back and told them I would be interested in the job. Within 2 days I had my first invoice that needed to be collected sent to me. Again very official looking. Keep in mind if you internet search these companies you will find official company websites. They also had me set up with an investment group in which supposedly the check would come from. Within 2 more days I received a check for $214,509.03 to be deposited into my bank and then after the funds were released by bank the funds would be forwarded on to Wing Kyh Steel in China. I found all of this a bit fishy and I asked my bank to look very deeply into that check before releasing the funds. I then called the company that was named on the check. The company that was being scammed would never have caught this on their own as their accounts payable office were not taking my claims very serious. I decided without the help of the scammed company to have my bank pursue further into it before releasing the funds. After a couple of more days my bank received confirmation from the scammed businesses bank that it was a fraudulent check. Had I allowed my bank to release the funds immediately not only would the company the checks name was in lost a considerable amount of money but I would have personally been held liable for those funds.

I do have images of numerous documents and emails used in this scam but am not going to post them on this site with my information and the scammed businesses information on the forms. In this scam not only was a business almost scammed out of over 200K I was also scammed out of a job and would have had a 200K debt left on my shoulders with no way of ever paying it back and probably a jail sentence for being ignorant enough to fall for it. Please educate yourself on what these vicious people are capable of doing.
