phone call alerting me to "computer has been compromised, so follow "technicians" directions. When questioned repeatedly about trustworthyness of the call,"tech" became annoyed and I requested a new technician. When "replacement tech" spoke, it was the same voice as the prior tech! Did not have the demeanor of a legitimate technician, and after repeating that the call was not trusted, I asked for his location, he answered Wells Fargo. After further discussion of untrustworthiness, the call was ended by him.

RECEIVED CALL FROM 985-625-4516 SAYING THEY WERE FROM WINDOWS AND THAT I HAVE BEEN HACKED ON MY COMPUTER, REQUESTING I GET ONLINE TO GIVE THEM INFORMATION. I ASKED WHY THEY WERE CALLING FROM LOUISIANA AND THEY SAID THEY WERE CALLING FROM LONDON. SOUNDED MIDDLE EASTERN ACCENT. I HUNG UP, BUT THEN GOOGLED THIS NUMBER AND SAW MANY HAVE ENCOUNTERED THE SAME PHONE CALL EARLY IN THE MORNING LIKE ME OR LATE AT NIGHT. I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE ELDERLY OR PEOPLE WHO AREN’T WISE ENOUGH TO HANG UP.
