I was initially contacted on my computer by a pop up that said my computer had been hacked. A number was included to call for help. Foolishly I did call and the techs "fixed" my computer for a large sum. They told me my e-mail address had been stolen and that I was in danger of having my personal information being stolen. They added software to my computer like ad blocker and e-mail protection. They called two more times telling me that someone had hacked my computer again and also had stolen my IP address. Sadly I don’t know much about technical things like this so foolishly paid for the repairs. They continued to call to do scans to check my computer and told me I needed to update my firewalls and a certificate. Again I fell for all this and could have bought a much better computer for what I spent on supposedly repairing the one I had. They called again a week telling me I was hacked again. I was suspicious by this time. They showed me some picture of the person who had supposedly hacked my computer. By this time I had done some research on computer security and did scans on my own computer and found no problems at all. I have good security on my computer. This last time they wanted over 700 dollars to do some kind of repair. They told me they were giving me a discount because I had been such a good customer. More like a fool! I just hung up on them. They continue to call and the other day I received an e-mail from them that included 64 other peoples e-mail address on it. I still have the e-mail, but have made no further contact with them. I can’t say I lost money since I willingly gave them the money, but feel I have been taken advantage of. I think this company needs to be looked into. I looked up their phone number and it said Scam or Fraud on White pages reverse lookup.

Person calls, with a busy call center sounding background, and claims to be a Window Support Center technician warning me of a problem with my system and they can help if I allow them access to my computer. I got this call twice in the last couple weeks (during December 2017). Both times it was a male with an eastern Indian accent. Once I called them out on the scam they immediately hung up. The number they called from said New York, NY.
