Type of a scam Employment

*Was contacted by one recruiter by Wesfarmers Limited claiming to have seen my resume online.

*A "manager" for the HR did an online interview. The company is based out of Australia.

*The "manager" even used the name of an actual person affiliated with the company.

*They want you to research the company during the interview, send you a link to the real website and to a real

open position for the company.

*They kept pushing that they wanted me to verify my address to send me employment info AND a check for the cost of initial expenses in setting up a home office.

*Job offer was $35 an hour working 30 – 60 hours a week from home taking care of corporate expenditure charts and data entry from companies all over the world.

*Verified with the company that it was a scam.

Type of a scam Employment

I was contacted by email after applying for jobs by a person claiming to be from Wesfarmers Limited. Her alias was Kristen D. Lareau. She told me that I was the perfect candidate for the internet based job. I was instructed to contact her through Google Hangouts and my "interview" was conducted there. I was asked about 15 questions, after I was finished, I was told to wait a few minutes while "the supervisor" went over my responses. About 6 minutes later, I was told I got the job. Another email was sent to me, this time directly from the "Kristen" person. It stated the job duties, the two week training pay of $19/hour and $34/hour after completion of training. Most of the communication was through Google Hangouts. I was told that I would be sent a check for the equipment needed to do the job. I was to deposit the check in my personal bank account and order the computers, printer, software, and office supplies from a vendor that they claim to use. The remainder of the money was for my "training pay". They give tasks to make you think you’re actually doing something but I questioned the first task. I was instructed to email them the 15 customer service skills ever employee needs. About two minutes into it I realized that something wasn’t right so I researched deeper into the real Wesfarmers Limited and emailed them. It is indeed a scam. I only wish that I dug deeper initially because I was tricked into giving them my social security number.

Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

They emailed me about a job. They said they would be sending me a check to purchase office supplies for work. Then they asked me to send $280 to buy a time tracker. They asked me to go to a store with moneygram to send it to the company to purchase it straight from there so they could send it overnight.
