Type of a scam Tech Support

Computer froze message popped up saying computer was infected with virus with a number to call. Called the number and they said they were tech support. They gained access to our computer and began to try and sell anti virus computer software. They were very forceful in conversation we eventually figured out the scam and reversed any charges made and wiped out our computer of them but not before they sold our info to several other scam artists we get calls often from different scams. It is very frustrating.
