Type of a scam Family/Friend Emergency

My aunt was contacted by phone by someone claiming to be me, then handed over to someone claiming to be my attorney. They stated I was in a car accident (rear ended someone) the previous evening and arrested for DUI at slightly over the legal limit. They then stated I was being held in Orange County Jail. They go my parent’s phone number from my aunt, and called them with the same story. The demanded that my parents go to a Best Buy and purchase a $2,000 cash card payble to no one. When my father said he wanted to call me first at the OC jail, they said "no – you can’t because the judge has a Gag Order on the case". Luckily my father called me – he was almost ready to fall prey to these people.
