Type of a scam Phishing

Called to say there was an unlawful use of my SSN. Scammer gave me a name and case number to make it sound legitimate. He went on to say my SSN was illegally used in a situation where large volumes of cocaine were discovered. then went on to ask if had any bank accounts or credit cards. Did not share any information and when I asked for a number to call back, he hung up.
