Type of a scam Phishing

I received a phone call from a local number of 812.576.8322, it was asking me to renew my car insurance warranty. I do not own a vehicle, the previous car was removed from me while visiting my father and payment was not late.(Best Choice Auto Center in Evansville, Indiana) That was the last vehicle I had in my name ; however I did just recently get a new car insurance policy. The company was Warranty Choice (Credit Acceptance) located in Texas but called from a local number. (This wouldn’t worry me, but I have my reasons with it being located out of Texas.

I did open new phone lines at the local Sprint store. I’m not certain if this is a coincidence or not, but while looking for a phone, the salesman helping us told us that a gentleman had stole a tablet? Which I looked around where we had been standing and there wasn’t a tablet missing; nor had he called the cops.

After reviewing my receipt, I seen a Tablet Item down towards the bottom but I wasn’t charged.

I am currently still trying to make sure that it wasn’t used on my account.
