Type of a scam Phishing

On 10/25/16 at 12:16 PM CST we received a phone call on our home phone from Molly at Walmart Pharmacy asking for my wife by her first name. When my wife got on the phone (I stayed on the phone also), Molly asked her for her birth date. My wife asked her what is this for? Molly said there is a medication insurance alert we are to notify you about. We show the year of your birth date as —-. What is the month and date? My wife asked what medication are you calling about? Molly said, I can’t tell you until I have all of your information. My wife asked, where are you calling from? Molly said, Walmart Pharmacy in Tuscon, Arizona. My wife said, I am not comfortable giving out my information over the phone and will call my local pharmacist. Molly said, fine, just tell them it is for a medication insurance alert and hung up.

We immediately called our local Walmart Pharmacy and they checked their Tuscon, AZ contacts and said there are no Walmart Pharmacies in Tuscon with that number and there are no medication insurance alerts we are aware of.

We then called the local BBB and they advised to file this scam report.
