My friend received an email saying his small real estate company had won an award for being an outstanding local business by the *** *** ***. No record of why he had been nominated or how, and they want $150 for a plaque to put on the wall. Most people around here are not too impressed or into these kind of things, but it seems like they are running this kind of scam nationwide. He didn’t lose any money or sleep on it, but we thought it might be worth bringing to your attention. They are claiming to be a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
