Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I recieved a seemingly real letter about my 1st assignments as a Mystery Shopper, along with a very real lookin check in the amount of $2935.00. The directions instructed me to cash check, keep $450 as my payment and then withdraw $2500 for my assignments. Then go to 2 different Walmarts, in 1st Walmart purchase 5 different Walmart Gift Cards at $300 each. Evaluate their Customer Service Professionalism, and how long I had to wait for assistance, etc…. Then go home scratch off 16 digit account number as well as 4 digit pin code, take pictures and send them to my coordinator via MMS to (510)358-8255 or (510)629-5866 and then trash cards and go to 2nd Walmart & do the same, but this time only 3 gift cards for $300 each.

Well I called the Bank the checks were from: SantanderBank, N.A and taljed wirh their check verification department who verified the check was fraudulent and part if a scam. Beware!!! Call Bank before you cash anything suspicious.
