The text message said that this was for verifying billing information, which Verizon would not do with a text message with a link NOT directed to the official website. All of the links on the top tab lead to the real website, so it looks like a plausible website to the unaware person.

However, if you entered login information, it would then prompt you for your Social Insurance number, mother’s maiden name, date of birth, card number & CVV, and a bit more. This is definitely an attempt to try and steal information.

I got 2 voicemails from this phone number stating that my Verizon account had been suspended. I would need to supply personal information to verify my account to be reactivated.

I got a call, caller ID showed as my number calling. When answered I was told my phone would be suspended and to press 1 if I wanted to talk to a rep. Further asked to enter my Verizon pin, and last 4 of soc.

Which I did enter. And was told all reps were busy and that they would call back in 30 min. And was disconnected. No call back was ever received. I never actually Spoke to a person. Was all recorded.
