Type of a scam Phishing

A guy by the name of John Wilson called our company looking to purchase projectors. He names a few of the main manufacturers that we sell. He wanted to purchase them for his company. I asked some probing questions because it didn’t seem right. I even told him that since they were in Colorado and we were in Georgia that they would probably want to purchase from another dealer more local to his location. He said it didn’t matter. They would purchase from us. Red flag. He wanted to email me, but I did not give him my email address. I got his email address instead. We hung up the phone and I started searching. There are several sites that list this business as a scam, but I decided to call the main number to see what happened. No one answered. Within a few minutes he called me back. I told him his business was not real and that he was a scam. He told me "[censored] You" and I hung up the phone.
