Type of a scam Identity Theft

I have a Honda CRV for sale in Atlanta Ga- Craigslist.

Here is the text message exchange..

." Hi, are you still selling your CRV?

"How long have you had it now?

Did you do any repairs on it?

Where are you exactely?

"OK,

Can we meet tomorrow?

I would like to come down to your place and have a look and make a deal. Cash/cashier check or we go to my bank whatever works for you.

"OK, lets meet at 5:00….Anyway you can send me the VVI paper work now?

I ask – whay is VVI?

He states …"Its the report the owner can pull it up online at vehiclesinfo.com by the way Im Stuart, whats your name?"

My reply was …I listed the vin in the ad. I also sent you the vin report- run by Honda. The site you are referring to is not a good one.

I dont guess your coming are you?

After that, I did not get another response.

I did go to the site- keyed in my name and email address. When it asked for $25 fee I backed out and began to investigate. Thats when I read the scam report online. Thanks for what you do!
