I have had several post card mailings from a Vehicle Alert Notice. States Time Sensitive. Notification deadline to call immediately regarding my vehicle. I do own a car but the warranty is not expired. I feel it is a scam. I don’t know how they got my name. The phone number is 888-259-4243.

Received a post card via pre-sorted first class mail (St Charles MO Permit # 100), indicating that it was an "urgent notice" of my vehicle warranty expiring if I don’t contact them back in 2 days. I have a 12 year old car, and this is not relevant to me.

Received a post card without a company name, indicating that the factory warranty of my vehicle is expiring and I need to respond immediately by calling 855-396-0803 or I risk not able to extend warranty coverage. I never owned a vehicle.

I’ve been receiving vehicle alert notices in the mail for the past several days now. These notices were sent out to inform me about extended factory warranty on my vehicle. Each notice states that my manufacturers warranty will expire soon, or may have already expired based on my mileage or age. Also, if I neglected to replace extended coverage, I would be liable for all repairs in the event of a breakdown. It was urgent that I contact The Motor Vehicle Services immediately before the deadline. I thought this was odd because I already have coverage for my vehicle. I called the number anyway to get clarification, however I should’ve called my car dealership instead. I spoke with an agent by the name of David *** He asked me for my customer ID number that was printed on the card that was sent to me. Then he asked me a question that I felt was personal. At that moment, I felt very uneasy about sharing that information with him. I told him that I would call him back, in actuality, I wanted to get off the phone with him. He was very persistent in getting the information from me that he needed. When I didn’t give him the information he wanted, his tone changed, he became very condescending and aggressive. I could not believe this was happening to me, I was being harassed and insulted over the phone by a customer service agent. I asked him for his name, he ignored my request and insisted that I give him the information he needed to complete the process. I asked him for his name again, he hesitated for a little while, but then he told me. After that, I immediately ended the call.
