Type of a scam Phishing

I was busy at work and received a call from a unfamiliar number. But this is nothing unusual because I am a patient advocate and receive several calls a day from unfamiliar number. This person called and I asked the phone saying hello. The person said is this (said my name) and i said yes. Then the person disconnected the phone. Then when I was on the phone with a patient I had another call from the same number and the person asked if I worked for the company I work with. Of course I said Yes and was getting ready to ask questions but the person hung up the phone before I could say anything. I didn’t think anything out of the normal about the first call and maybe even not the second call because I was in the process of assisting patients. But now that I think more about the situation I am afraid I could be a victim of identity thief. I am reporting this incident because the calls have me nervous.
