I received a phone call followed by a voicemail from a Kim Koncole (not sure if that is correct) who stated that she was with US Student Loan Center. The number was 813-579-2527. She said that she can check into loan forgiveness or get me the best payment option. She wanted to log into my FASFA by creating a temporary password and giving her the code to change my password. She asked for my email address and date of birth. I then had a bad feeling about this because she was wanting access to my personal account. Yeah not going to happen. I told her I did not receive the email and would call her back when I get it. I went on the FASFA website and changed my password and told them what happened. they advised I should report to BBB. Please be careful when dealing with con-artist.

Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

In October of 2017, I came upon a website advertising assistance in lowering monthly payment of student loans and help in consolidating student loans. I called US Student Loan Center and I spoke with a lady off and on for many weeks due to my busy schedule and was impressed with how kind and helpful the representative was. Looking back, I can see how naive I was and how I fell for this scam because the website appeared so believable. I was sent a packet of colorful and glossy pages explaining the process and what was involved. This too looked very real. I was told that my monthly payments of 1100 would drop to 60 a month and was told that they consolidated my student loans. They explained to me that my servicer, *** ***  would tell me that they could not consolidate my loans because they just want more money. After consulting with *** ***, I was told they would not consolidate loans so this strengthened my trust in US Student Loan Center. USSLC had me fill out an application to try to get approved for TPD (Total Permanent Disability) because I told them I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I paid almost $600 initially in November of ’17 and $39/month for four months before I realized this was a SCAM. I repeatedly called to question the status of my case and I got the run around every time. I was transferred to someone else and was either hung up on, stayed on hold for 20-4

30 minutes, or was told someone would call me back within 24 hrs. No one ever did. Now when I try to go back to the website, it says "This site is no longer in service."
