I was scammed by a moving company. I was moving from *** OH to *** AL. I had gone online and typed long in long distance movers on Google. A generic box popped up. I filled out information regarding the move and submitted. Several movers contacted me by phone. US Moving Van Lines called me. Shari Dodek with company. 844-741-8241 X 413. They E mailed a contract. Their address 3425 B Tremley Point Rd. Lindon NJ 07026. is My initial quote was $ 2616.25. Once they got my belongings. Stated I had extra boxes. Went up to $4200. I paid the company $3000. $1306 by debit card October 19, 2019. $1308.25 paid by bank check. $ 400 by money order for extra boxes. The truck arrived a day early. I told them to come back the next day. I was still packing. They returned that evening on October 28, 2019. A pull off sticker was on the truck with US Moving Van Lines. It was a large white truck. I did not get the license plate number. They picked up all my belongings. They have my brother in laws ashes. Two riding lawnmowers. My items never arrived in Alabama. They wanted me to wire an additional $3000 for pick up fee. According to the company my belonging are in their warehouse in New Jersey. Want me to wire the money to [email protected] I did not send the money. I had driven all the way down to Alabama and my items never arrived. I filed complaint with Department of Transportation Motor Vehicles. I contacted Cleveland OH police. I will be meeting with a detective.
