Type of a scam Tech Support

While browsing the internet, a pop up opened stating that malicious software was detected on my Mac computer and to contact tech support at (844) 573-0848. When calling this number, the representative stated that he was with Apple and provided me with a name and Mac ID# and said that he needed to remote access into my computer to detect what the problem was. He spent about 15 minutes explaining to me what the issue was and that the issue was not with my computer but with my home network. He transferred me to a "Networking Engineer" who could secure my internet and devices as well as remove junk, folders and errors from my computer. Also, he would provide internet network security for 3 years for $499.99. I asked what other options I had and he said "None, this is your only option if you want to keep your network secure".

I provided them with my credit card information and access to my computer but then used my phone to Google the company. Right away, scam alerts popped up so I tried to take control of my computer and cancel the scan US Info Solutions had started on my computer but the representative kept moving my mouse away from the "Quit" button and started messaging another representative on my screen, asking for backup help. I disconnected my wi-fi connection and received a call from Info Solutions asking why I interrupted the scan. I informed them that I believed they were a scam and to remove themselves from my computer and not charge my credit card. The representative promptly hung up the phone on me.
