Roger Saucedo doing business as Upgrade Construction Management from Hialeah Florida initially gave a quote for remodeling 3 bathrooms and separately for replacing all our windows for impact windows. We paid him for half of the bathrooms and then also separately wrote him a check to pay for half of the impact windows so the company could begin making them. He only paid a portion of the windows money to the window company and then bounced 2 checks trying to reconcile that difference. He has still not paid this and we have filed a police report for this theft and bouncing of checks. Separately he was supposed to do the bathrooms but he had problems with employees and it dragged on and on. We created a new agreement with a timeline which he will not meet. He has abandoned the job leaving 2 bathrooms unfinished and unusable (no fixtures, toilets, vanities which he was supposed to insall.) Further, he said we didn’t need a permit but we are now being told that we do need a permit for the bathrooms. We paid 50% of the job for 3 bathrooms up front but he hasn’t finished any bathroom. Luckily we bought all our own fixtures and materials so we still have that but he is now trying to say we owe him the other 50% of the money and will put a lien on the property if we don’t pay it. He literally stole money, has walked off the job, has not finished anything and is now threatening us with a lien.
