Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

On 10/5/16 I received a phone call from a person stating that they were with Unlimited Truck and Trailer repair, and that they were trying to get payment for work they had done on one of our tractor trailers. Our receptionist gave them an email address and they sent us an invoice for $667.10. I called our driver and he stated that he had been in Kansas city, MO where this company is supposedly from and no work had been done. All of our trucks are under warranty, and we would not have had anything like that done with this make believe company. I called the numbers back and they were out of service. the email that they sent was setup to where you couldn’t reply. My guess is that someone is getting information off of trucks and making up fake invoices to send to companies in hopes that someone will slip and pay it. You can do a lot with Google these days. We have been burned before with scams, and I just want to take a few minutes to report this and see if I can save it from happening to someone else.
