I was contacted by a "broker" purporting to represent a "qualified purchaser" for our vacation property. In short, the offer was too good to be true, amounting to much more than was paid for the ownership initially. The explanation as to the value, as well as the process, was a bit sketchy so I checked online to see what I could find about the company. The ScamPulse.com has an alert attached to this business stemming from a previous inquiry. Additionally, the address they are using (2020 Washington Avenue, St. Lous, MO) is not actually where they are currently located, nor has there ever been a business with that name at the address according to the building management. This may be a legitimate operation, but it certainly doesn’t seem that way and the representative seemed to be annoyed when I asked for various assurances.
