Type of a scam Identity Theft

This person named Jaffy said he worked with Law Firms and helped litigate collections. He was nasty mean to my mother to her on the phone demanding she send him money. I called back to chat with him on a hidden phone line, and asked some questions. He wanted my phone number. I gave him a fake one, then asked what they would call me about. He said to collect debt unpaid they assist law firms. I asked him for his address, since I worked for TV 8 and wanted to know more about his company. He abruptly hung up the phone.
