Type of a scam Phishing

The caller told me I was on a recorded line, and asked me if I could hear her. I answered "yes" and she immediately hung up. I retrieved the phone number 507-516-1802 from my caller ID. I returned a call to the number and a male answered. I asked why I was just called and the only question asked of me was if I could hear her. The person asked if I could hear him. I refused to answer the question and asked him if he was a scammer. He confirmed that "many" people have taken advantage of the vacation offer and would I be interested. Again I stated I was not going to answer that. He then asked me if I was over the age of 25. I again said I would not answer that question. He laughed out loud and then hung up.
