Trip Advisor Imposter Can you hear me Phishing Scam

I was in the car when I received a call, This is Sam, I had just left the doctor’s office who’s secretary’s name was Sam, from Trip Advisor, Can you hear me? Instinctively I respond yes before processing Trip Advisor. Realizing this was a potential phone scam I immediately hung up. This just happen a few minutes ago but I thought it good to report before anything potentially bad happens.

I never answer these calls but was expecting a call from a local number. A lady came on sounding live and who said she was on recorded line asked if I could hear her. I said yes I can hear you then when I try to say I wasn’t interested I realized it was a robocall. I called the number back and it went to a local realtor who did not realize she was part of the spoofed number. Not sure yet how I have been affected but will be on the lookout.

I’ve gotten this phone call 4 times now. "Hello this is Chris from "so and so" trip advisor, can you hear me ok?"

So far I’ve received 4 of these phone calls.
