Type of a scam Credit Cards

I was contacted by phone. I was offered to have me interest rates lowered on my credit cards if the interest rate was over 12%. I was told I qualified for the program, which required $4000 in cc debt, even though my highest acct. was only about $3300. I spoke with a mgr., who said the financial advisor said not to worry about the amount, it would be approved.

All my accounts were reviewed my payment amounts, due dates, etc. Each creditor was contacted to verify the amount owed.

They said there was a fee of $599 which would be waived because I

had a great payment history & hadn’t had my bills consolidated or filed bankruptcy. I was told I would be contacted for an e-signature but so for after 24 hours, have not received the paperwork. However, I have received email notification that 2 credit applications have been filed in my name. I was given a cell number by someone who said his name is Eric Nelson – he offered his personal # in case I needed help with the e-signature. The number on the called I’d was listed as unavailable – 580-670-2728. I get a busy signal when I try to call. However, someone who identified themself as Eric answered the cell phone.
