The e-mail looked very real! They used my full name, sending me a confirmation of a room I never booked with dates listed, a confirmation number, what kind of room, room price, and that it was held on a visa (no visa number listed). There is no phone number, website or hotel name just links to click to confirm. I did not click on any of the links, I assumed they were fraud. Check carefully before you click on anything!

This is an attempt to get you to click on multiple links. The email thanks you for your purchase, offers multiple links to use to access the travel and change itinerary. There is no airline or destination airport codes associated with the supposed itinerary. The 800 number is short one digit. This email was sent to the email of a physician at a clinic. An immediate concern was if this was intended to embed a worm to take control of the medical clinic systems similar to what recently happened in the U.K.

Multiple links in the email imply that this email is intended to either embed a virus or worm or confirm that there is an active email.
