So I was in need of calling my insurance company which is travelers. I went to my email, found an old email from them and clicked "contact us." That opened a pngage that looked like Travelers and I saw the same phone number over and over. I type it in my phone and close the browser. So I call and there was a recording saying to complete a short survey that could save me money. I thought, "oh great, this is the sales call line." The questions were really vague, "press 1 if anyone in the house is over 60, # for no. Press 1 if anyone in the house owns or drives a car or truck, # for no." I said no and then yes, and was immediately put in contact with a real person. The very first thing she said was, "this is (NAME-I forgot), can you hear me?" I should have immediately hung up as my "spider sense" was tingling, but I honestly thought this was my insurance company. I said, "yes, (name) I can hear you. She then went off on a sales pitch about saving me money, blah blah blah (I really wasn’t listening cause I am still assuming this is sales, and I just am waiting to explain what I need.) HSe gets done and I said something like, "no, I am already a customer and I just need to tal….."dial tone. She hung up on me! I call back and I get the same recording and I think, "something is fishy," so I googled the number, which was obviously different. I call and low and behold, its actually Travelers. I then went back in my email, hit the "contact us," and all the phone numbers on that same page are now correct!?!? Somehow they were able to change the pngage or the link for travelers and now they have me recorded saying yes.
