Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

I’ve been contacted by phone wherein a representative indicated that their company wanted to rent 10 weeks of my timeshare FROM me. However, they do not have a website, their name/address does not come up on a website search… Their offer was $27,950 or $2,795 per week, which is considerably more than the rack rate for these weeks [$600-900 per week]. The letter of agreement had multiple misspellings of our names and they called several times on the phone to press for a signature and return. Eventually I found their website by looking more carefully at the contract. The website did exist.

But the odd thing is that when I asked for the website, they gave me their corporate ID number and a Government corporate page, which allowed an official search, even though that is not what was asked for. Oddly, the official documentation about the corporation on the AL state corp. registration site [attached] indicated the registration had NO NAME for the company. Another site seemed to tell me that the company had been disbanded. The *** website indicated that the principal [*** * *** or others with that name] had over 25 different companies operating in Birmingham since his corporate registration was made in 1993 [attached], with no business name/address, nor clear purpose. Once I found that an older fashion industry biz operated under the same name and at the same Birmingham location, that was enough for me. It is uncertain what to believe , but the program does not make sense and the corroborating data are disturbing. The website focuses on how they connect timeshare owners with potential renters. In that light, this looks like a scam to get timeshare owners to engage them to sell or rent your timeshare weeks for you, which is a new twist on an old scam.
