Type of a scam Debt Collections

I received a phone call today from a woman that represented her business as Transworld System Collection Agency. Next to the phone # on my caller ID it said Worcester but she said her name so fast, I did not get it. She contacted me regarding my home alarm bill. She said that my service has been interrupted for non-payment and if I paid her $1,000, she could have my service restored. I immediately knew something was wrong because my monthly payments for the system are only about $100 per month which would mean that I have not made payment for about 10 months. I thought maybe my last check got lost in the mail and this was the reason for her call, but I knew that I did not miss that many payments so something about the call was odd. I continued to engage with the caller because she knew a lot about me and my system and this was concerning as well as frightening so I called the Police before I called BBB.
