Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

My grandfather received a letter stating I was a winner of a prize in a European, African, and USA Consumer sweepstakes for people that shop in major departmental stores. They sent him a check of $3,275 to pay a $3,100 processing fee, and instructed him to contact a claims agent: Jim Amos at 1-877-225-3917. I called for him and they were upset with me that I did not call them earlier. The letterhead says Trans Financial Company, while Unity Financial Company is said in the letter to manage the prize money. The check was issued from Duke Energy Corporation. Please look into this so no other seniors are put at risk.
