I was headhunted by this company. They claimed they found my resume through one of the recruiting websites I’m
registered with. Told me they needed Escrow Assistants in my particular area. I was sent an employment agreement, W-4 and an I-9 to fill out plus they wanted direct deposit information. I was given a way to log into pnganel through them which is how they gave you information about what you supposed to be doing.
They ship you packages that come to you addressed to someone else’s name but your address. You open the box, take out the packing slip, take a picture of the contents, repack and reship it. All of mine came to different names but all were sent to the same man in Delaware. I checked the brand names on some of the products and the company’s don’t exist. I was told I’d get a bonus for every package sent correctly and did on the pnganel. I was told there was a 30 day probationary period but in the contract it says you receive the bonus twice a month. Well I didn’t receive my bonus I had earned after two weeks, when I contacted them I was told it had to wait for the 30 days to be up. You are told your contract begins the day you sign the employment agreement. My 30 days went by but I still had packages supposedly coming so they told me my hire date began a week after I signed. Then after that week went by I was told there were clerical errors in accounting so they were paying me on a certain day, 10 days after I signed their employment agreement, I was told I’d receive triple the bonus I had earned and being as I had one package still pending started getting nasty notes from them demanding I mail out the last package. I should have kept it but I mailed it, sent them confirmation it had been sent, and never heard from them again. The log in they gave me on pnganel no longer worked, they never give you a phone number, they only contact you back and forth through email. And I never received a dime from them.
Used my gas and time to mail these boxes out and nothing.
I have all of the packing slips, FedEx slips where I mailed the boxes to, plus pictures of every box and contents that I received. They offer you a salary of $33,000 a year paid in equal monthly installments of $2750 per month, $23 bonus for each package, paid vacation and health benefits.
I’m so stupid to have fallen for this as they have cost me my vehicle and almost my apartment. I took a title loan on my truck thinking I’d be able to pay it completely off but instead lost my truck because I couldn’t even make the first payment on the loan. I’m two months behind on my rent and doing my best to catch up.
I’d Love to get some compensation from these people.

Don’t send them… don’t do anything with them. The packages get more weird. My 30 days is up and I have not been paid and told them I will not send out anymore packages until I see the money in my account. I’m currently holding onto 2 of them filled with military 1st aid supplies.

They don’t care. You’ll never get paid. I didn’t. The scary part is they have all of my personal information. I’m just praying no one attacks my identity because of them.

I had been looking for a job on job posting websites like Indeed.com. I was contacted by someone saying they would offer me a job as an Escrow Assistant. The job was to receive packages, inspect them and then to re-ship the packages to a different address. They made me fill out a W$ which had PII on it including my social security number. The first package I received contained accessories for a rifle as well as some Oakley sunglasses. I repacked the items and waited for a shipping label. The label I received said the package contained climbing equipment. I asked about the shipping label and was assured that it was correct. I went against my gut and sent out the package but also looked for advice on reddit.com. That is when i was told I was probably part of a parcel mule scam. I just received a second package and am not sure what to do with it now that I know this is a scam. Since I haven’t been doing this for very long I am not sure if any of the companies being scammed will be coming after me or not but I am expecting some kind of legal backlash as well as possible identity theft because they have my social security number.

Did you ever receive payment for the package you did ship out? I have to been hired as an escrow assistant. I just received my first two packages and wondering what I should do with them.
