I received a bill for "medicar transportation" from Trace Ambulance and ignored it as an error. Then several months later received another bill for 108 dollars similar to the first one. I have never ridden in an ambulance or anything like one in my life. I called and spoke to their billing. I refused to give them my DOB which was the first thing they asked for. I gave them my last and first name and was put on hold. The lady came back only seconds later and said it was an "error" and couldn’t give me any information about how they got my personal info or why I had gotten these bills. It was almost like I was tagged for this kind of treatment. I think they are sending out these bogus bills and hoping that either handicapped or elderly people who don’t know better will just pay them. Please stop them or find out what is going on.
