Initially I applied for a game tester job for Ubisoftware through Indeed website. They contacted me through a message to reply to this email: [email protected]

After replying to the email, I got another email through: [email protected]

by a person named John Twedt. I corresponded with him and filled out a job application. After "getting the job" I got an email from the same email address but with a different name to download some icq app which raised flags. This company is a scam and uses other reputable companies to hook and bait people.

I initially found this company through a job advertisement on indeed for a QA Mobile Applications tester. After filling out several forms, they reached out to me very unprofessionally through an app called ICQ. On the ICQ app, they instructed me to add the tQUALITYm support channel, which was through the code: 40077376.

They gave me their login and password for the website and they offered me $100-400 per completed job.

When they gave me my first "Testing" job, they sent me the instructions through an email. It was for a money transferring app. To transfer $1356.14 from an account that they provided the account numbers for, but instructed me to attach my name and address to it.

The money was supposed to be "Testing" this app called Xoom from a bank account number they provided to an in-person pick-up in Sri Lanka.

I did not answer right away, as I was at work, and the person on the other end of the ICQ chat was growing impatient, sending me messages saying they were waiting, and even tried to call me. They kept asking if it was difficult for me, in an attempt to make me feel as if i needed to do what they asked, and do it quickly.

When I told them that I was not going to be attaching my name and address to a different bank account that would be transferring money to Sri Lanka, they promptly replied with these three messages in succession: "ok" "delete you" "bye bye".

I still have all emails, information, correspondence, and attachments sent between me and this "business."

Applied through a major job site (Indeed.com) and got a reply a day later about a testing job for mobile apps. At first they said they wanted to hire me, so I said ok since I needed a job. They started sending me some forms to fill out, which I did. Thank goodness I didn’t put my address or anything since they didnt require it. But I started to become skeptical when they offered me the job without any interview. I thought maybe they would video interview me through a mobile device or computer. Upon being supposedly "hired", they emailed me with some steps to download a chat messenger called ICQ. From there we would chat and they gave me some detailed tasks to do. When I opened the email,they wanted me to test a mobile app called "Xoom money transfer". At that point I knew something was fishy because anything to do with money or accounts is fraud. It’s just crazy what people would do to scam people out of their hard earned money. Now a days you have to be careful even when looking for jobs. Unbelievable.

I just recently started applying to QA Analyst job postings online. Someone named "John Twedt" reached out to me in an email stating he is impressed with my resume and he will reach out to me if my profile is selected. I replied him back thanking him for reaching out to me. Then about a couple of weeks later he wrote me back saying my profile is a great match for an online role and his company is ready to hire me. I found everything kind of shady and called him on the phone number he provided. After a third try–a lady answered, and when I asked for "John Twedt" she said he’s unavailable. Then about a couple days later I received another email, welcoming me aboard to their company. In that email, he also asked to download ICQ for communication purpose. I downloaded ICQ and we started to chat. I urged the guy that I want to speak to him over the phone but he says he’s really busy and he can only chat with me but not speak to me on the phone. While we were chatting he sent me another email which supposedly stated my "First Task" for the company. And one of my first tasks was to transfer money to them via Xoom and to let them know if I encounter any defect while transferring money. I already figure out they are FRAUD but at that time I was just playing along to see how much they want me to send. And

I applied for a job on Indeed.com, and later received an email asking me to reply back if I was still interested, which I did. Then I received another email asking me to complete the employment application in its entirety, and to send it back along with a picture of me holding the company name. I sent a picture of a post it note with the company name, but did not include my face. This morning I got an "offer" and more attachments needing to be completed. One of the forms is asking about how I wish to be paid and for me to include my banking info. I’ve never spoken with anyone, never went over anything pertaining to the job, which made me leery.
