Type of a scam Tech Support

Was in a recipe website and a pop up came up and stated that trojan malware has locked computer. They provided 800 number(above) to fix the problem. They claimed to be apple certified technology supporter. Talked 10 minutes about what I was seeing and they told me to press control button and then they had access to my computer. Took 90 minutes to go in and fix problem then called back and stated it was fixed and then gave me fake address and tried to sell tech contract. Took computer back to Apple store within three hours to have it restored and they told me it was a phishing scam.
