I to want to echo what the other have said, but I never cashed the check. First of all the mailing address is from Crete Carrier in Lincoln, NE and not from Alan Smith (strike one). A check of the package origin actually came from GREENSBORO, NC and not Lincoln, NE (Strike two). In the assignment they want you to buy gift cards, scratch off the code number and then send them copies of the front and back, then save the cards. Yeah right, while they go off and buy what ever they want with the information you just gave them (strike three). This is a total fraud. Block this guy from your phone and throw away anything you get in the mail from him. period!

I too received the exact texts and priority mail with $1980 from Alan Smith. I immediately ripped it up and threw in the trash. No way any company is going to put that kind of money on the line to a total stranger. Sorry for your loss. The priority mail is sent from Hiltop Network Inc. (a fake company) 1037 E Las Tina’s Dr, San Francisco, CA 94103. Beware and save yourself from being scammed.

I recieved a text message from 308-249-9618, regarding a secret shopping position for Whole Foods Market. I got a few texts over the span of 3 months. I got a priority Mail package with a letter, regarding what to buy and a check of $1980.00 to buy said items. Said my first assignment was –

1) E-Bay Gift Cards from Walgreens, Kroger and CVS store ($50,$100, and $200,$500)

2) same as above. But from another store.

Then once completed – Open the pack and peel the silver scratch-off area on the card. And Capture an image front and Back after scratched – Do not discard the cards as it will be used for your fourth coming assignment.

My experience is the same as listed above, the name on it was Alan Smith. He was pushy.
This morning I see that the bank returned the check because it is a fake, $1980 that I work so hard for is now gone from my account due to this scam!
I saved everything, what can I do now?
