After mortgage refi I got flooded with official looking letters with copies of my Grant Deed and filing form with notations like " You have a legal right to protect the equity in your home". Declaration of Homestead… $53.95 for Homeowner Documentation. Is this legit? Is this a ploy to get money from people overwhelmed by the volume of legitimate real estate paperwork?

I didnot file this request. I’m just curious and concerned for others.
