Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I received a text message about filling for my stimulus check so I clicked on it. The sit didn’t ask for money just my name, email and phone number that’s it . A few days later I received a email saying I was accepted to receive a check for $1,200 and I would be receiving it by FedEx in 3 to 5 business days. Just a few minutes before it was delivered I got a text message saying it was en route to be delivered, a few minutes later there was a knock on my door after I checked it there was a bag tied to my door handle with an envelope and a check inside for $3,700. Then I received another text message saying I was being sent an email on what to do with the check and so on, after I check my email sure enough there was an email from John DiSpigno with further instructions on what to do with the check. I was to take it to my bank cash it and only keep $1,200 then send 1200 to another person and 1200 to another person they never asked me for money just told me what to do with the check. That’s how I knew it was a scam besides the fact that the check itself was not a government issued check. they told me to keep $1,200 then send the rest to two other people .The government does not do that, they never ask you or contact you to do anything.
