I had Thomas Roofing & Masonry do some work for me back in March of this year. I should’ve known this company was a scam because the son rescheduled several estimates before his father Thomas came out. Thomas however eased my concern and gave me a quote of 8k to tuckpoint the house and patching the roof shingles that were coming down in various places. After some conversation I also asked him to perform tuckpointing on our retainer wall. I gave Thomas a 5k deposit. They came out to do the work. They did about 40% of the tuckpointing work, the roofing work, and about 50% of the retainer wall. After they had finished for the day Thomas asked if I could pay the balance as he had to pay his crew. Because he is an older gentlemen and seemed trustworthy, I paid him with the expectation that he’d complete the work. Several weeks passed and after several phone calls and more excuses I concluded that I had made a poor mistake paying him for this job. My wife determined that she could get him back out here and she did. Thomas finished tuckpointing the retainer wall. We were simultaneously having some foundation repair work done and they covered 5 of our wall with a plastic material.

To offset the reduction of work, Thomas and I agreed that he would drywall one of the surfaces. Thomas never finished the drywall, nor finish the remediation work which was incorrect or incomplete with his tuckpointing, nor did he return any of the money. This man has no integrity. Do not trust anything that comes out of his mouth.
