Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I was reached out to regarding a personal/ admin assistant job. They stated they would pay me so much per week and would send extra funds in order to buy toys/send charity funds to a place they regularly donated to. They sent a check via usps and was adamant that I deposit it withdraw my funds then i was to send the remainder funds to the charity once he obtained their account information. He maintained contact through email, text and phone calls. I didn’t deposit the check upon researching it and finding the same signature printed on various forms of fraudulent checks that was on the one sent to me.
the check had a "the worship place" logo on it and an address as follows:
811 SUN CITY BLVD, GEORGETOWN, TX 78633-4989
