Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Received a priority mail envelope with Check enclosed for $2900.08. Instruction sheet with direction to deposit the check, withdraw $400 for my “commission” and $50 for transportation and use $2,450 to purchase eBay gift cards in multiple denominations at TARGET, RITE-AID, BEST BUY, CVS, 7-ELEVEN, OR WALGREENS. Scratch off the silver area and take pictures of front and back and the pin and submit via email with observations of the store and cashier.
