Type of a scam Employment

I was offered a job via a short interview on google hangouts. The interviewer’s grammar was not perfect. I was offered $50 an hour for full time and $35 an hour for part time. It felt too good to be true. The company was supposedly based out of Hong Kong, and they would be expanding to the US. The interviewer was available at all hours of the day. After doing research about the company and about scams, my experience seems just like the other scams I have read.

Type of a scam Employment

The HR representative texted me for an interview. The interview was quite extensive and lasted approx an hour. I was hired and asked for my address and the name of my bank. I would give any information about my bank so they said I should receive a check in the mail. I received a check in the amount of $7320. No signature required just a note with the check with some instructions on what to do with it. They wanted it deposited in my personal account and I needed to email them the receipt. I figured at this point it was fraud. I also figured the bank would know when I took it to them. And they identified it as fraud and fit the description of these employment scams. The package was sent from California but the accountant was from PA. I also noticed on the website they directed me to there was no contact information. However, they did not ask me to spend any of my own money. We actually had the interview on Gmail hangouts.
