I received a phone call from a very nice sounding lady in late June regarding a job with a company known as the "Indianapolis Team." She told me to come to the interview in business professional dress, bring paper to take notes, and bring a copy of my resume. This sounded like a pretty standard interview, so I went ahead and went for the first interview. It went well and seemed like nothing was amiss, so when I was offered a second interview, I was excited. I took the offer for a second interview, which was much more in-depth. The company was trying to tell me that I would be working in an office and only visiting clients who had already expressed interest in the product, however this was not the case. I went in for the third and final interview and they were still lying about what position I was being hired on for, so I naively took this position. I was then told to show up to work in business professional for my training. It turns out that the position they had ACTUALLY hired me on for was a door-to-door sales position selling AT&T TV, Internet, and Phone connections. The deals that they were selling seemed to be extremely unrealistic, so I went ahead and gave AT&T a call to verify some of the deals that I would be selling myself. AT&T stated that these deals were valid only for one month, while the people at the Indianapolis team were told to say that the deals last for as long as the customer keeps their contract. I quit after 5 days of following around another person as part of training and watching them scam innocent people into taking AT&T as their cable, internet, and phone provider.

This "company" scams its employees with false promises of advancement, and by telling the employee that they are being hired on for a position that doesn’t exist. They also scam their customers by selling AT&T products and claiming that they are superior to the products that the customer has now at a lower cost. They neglect to mention that after one month the price will skyrocket.

This company is an extremely shady pyramid scheme that should be shut down as soon as possible. If a man comes to your door holding an iPad and is trying to sell you AT&T products, please simply say something like "The company you work for is a pyramid scheme, you’re selling a lie, find a new line of work." That is what one customer told my mentor, and it opened up my eyes to the fact that the company i was working for was in fact scamming hundreds of people per day.
