Type of a scam Online Purchase
My mom is supposed to order a sofa(furniture) online and got a SofaCloudMadeWithMagnets(bracelet) instead..
The detailed story is at first, she saw it on facebook(marketplace), then she clicked some ads that eventually go the website (************).
After that, she placed an order and already paid it. Then, an automatic reply confirmed her order..the email address is ([email protected]).
However, I just found it now that in that email, they used another company name/business name which is (******************), there is also a button in the email to visit the store, but when I click that button, it says the website does not exist…There is also a note on that email that if she(my mom) had any question, she can contact them using ([email protected])
The thing is she(my mom) doesn’t know which is the real one or not. Which is fake one or not, and who is the real scammer.
I tried to visit those websites and they seems legit. I just want to trace/track who is the real scammer here….
Also, we got the SofaCloudMadeWithMagnets(bracelet) with an address of 36-3-19, Majiapu West Road, Fengtaidistrict beihinshi, beijing,100068 CHINA
the phone is ###-###-####.. I called that phone contact and eventually know that it is from Mentone, CA United States
It is very confusing…
My mom got a SofaCloudMadewithmagnets bracelet a few days ago from that same address, but she didnt order anything off of the website. Did some research and found out that this type of thing has been happening for years. I dont know if its serious or not but she doesnt know what to do about it and neither do I.
